Wow, it's been a week since I last posted an entry. Surprised? Me too! Even I'm surprised, considering how badly I wanted to do 'stuff' to my blog and all that. I've been off school for a week now too. I finished exams on the 13th. I mentioned on my previous post just before my exam that I was feeling a bit feverish. Well, that was true, and I also wished I'd wake up a-okay. I did wake up without a fever, but I started having flu-like symptoms (especially coughing). Eck. So basically, I went into my 3 exams feeling very sick and sluggish. It wasn't a good sight at all. You have no idea how difficult it was for me to concentrate. I've been coughing since then until now (a little bit). Wow, I've gotten a really bad cough; I haven't gotten a cough this bad since I-don't-know-when! I visited the doctor a week ago from today and he gave me anti-biotics. I took the anti-biotics until Friday and it seems to work kind of slow. I do feel a lot better now though. I pray every night that I'll feel better the next morning I wake up. There seemed to have been a delay in the communication with God. But I know God heard me 'cause I'm feeling better now :)

I can't believe how much luck (or lack there of) I've gotten this term - better yet, this whole year. I know everyone goes through their ups and downs - you can't live a full year without having something bad happen to you, or experience something really nice. I haven't been in my greatest shape (not just physically, but all-around). I'm not proud of it, and I want to change it. And that's why I'm so excited and so stoked for the coming year. I hope 2009 will be a much much better year for me. I cannot wait :)

Recent Updates:
  1. Yesterday, Ian (with his family) left for NYC/Atlantic City. He'll be staying there for a week. I already miss him :( Baby, if you're reading this, have fun there! Go crazy shopping, and bring me back something from NYC! :) I can't wait for Saturday, when you finally come back! And another countdown begins...tomorrow [or today] is our 34th monthsary, if I counted it correctly. Aw, happy special day, Ian! I love you always!
  2. Last night, after spending some time with Ian, my family and I went to our friends' house for an early Christmas dinner. I guess everyone's leaving to go someplace else for Christmas (who would want to stay in this cold cold weather anyway), so they've decided to have it yesterday. There were lots of food, but it got a bit boring, especially 'coz Ian wasn't there (he usually comes with us to parties, since our Tito's and Tita's know him already).
  3. Snow Storm # 1 happened Friday morning/afternoon. It was horrendous! I felt bad because I couldn't help my dad shovel the huge pile of snow (~10-15cm) on the driveway. Stupid snow storm. Snow storm # 2 happened just last night and this morning (Sunday). Good thing Ian and his family got to their destination safely. I got a text message from Ian this morning saying that they're at Atlantic City already and that they had to go through 3 snow storms. OMG.
  4. There are 3 more days before Christmas! I'm not too excited though, I dont' know why. I just can't seem to feel the spirit of Christmas. I guess it's 'coz I've been feeling sick lately - so not in the mood for anything. Oh well, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, EVERYONE!

What are your plans for the holidays - Christmas & New Year's? Are you as excited as I am for the upcoming year 2009? Share your thoughts! :)

P.S. Will be posting another entry soon regarding my 2009 project! :)
Don't worry, I won't be venting about how I dislike winter for this entry.

Today, I slept in again. I punched in "10:00am" on my alarm clock and low and behold, there I was on my bed at 10:00am--10:15--10:30--10:45--11:00--11:15am sleeping like a baby. Sometimes I refer to myself as a polar bear, because I like hibernating.

Anyway, the point of me setting an alarm for today, was so that I could finally type up my essay that's due tomorrow. It's an essay about advertising and whether or not some ads are fraudulent or deceptive. Well, my answer is a "no". & no, I won't go into depth with what I discussed but, what do you think? I mean, yes, some ads are just going overboard and they're really misleading. But I think it's all about the use of puffery in ads. Companies have got to make their marketing strategies very effective to bring in the moolah, right?

So, whatever - I slept in and got out of bed an hour late. I think I was having this weird dream about going to some private school, yada yada yada, and all I remember was that just before I opened my eyes, I was jumping around and screaming my lungs out because of a tiny scorpion on my desk. Huh?! What a weird dream.

So then I got out of bed & headed downstairs to grab some lunch. At 1:00pm, I decided to walk my puppy Maxxi. She was so happy and ready-to-go. She usually doesn't get to walk outside a lot, we usually just let her out the backyard to run around. So she was quite thrilled that I'm taking her for a real walk outside. She's kept stopping at every house/lot, sniffing the grass. So we walked around the block for about 15 minutes. She dropped a bomb halfway there & of course I had to pick it up. Imagine if she had diarrhea or something! I wonder if they have Pepto bismol for dogs? Anyway, so we were walking, and she saw this snowball almost her size and she started growling and barking at it. I hadn't realized right away; I thought she saw some creepy crawler on the grass or something. Haha, she's so hilarious & so cute! :) We got home and she wouldn't go through the door. I had to trick her into going inside by giving her a treat. Aww, poor Maxxi. Dont' worry, I'll walk you more often now :)

Just several minutes after we got home from our 15-min walk, the sky started to bring in some flurries and some snow. Maxxi is such an adorable pup. She gets mesmerized by the snow falling on our deck. She'll sit/lay by the backyard door, and she'll watch as the snow falls, and slowly she herself will fall asleep. Trés cute!
