Yesterday, I went out with my loverboo. We haven't gone to the theatres for quite a while. I think the last movie we saw together was X-Men3. Haha. Anyway, so he asked me if I wanted to go see Meet the Robinsons, and of course I said yes. So after work, he went home and dressed up & I was getting ready too. And then at around 5:30pm he came to my house to pick me up so we can go to the theatre. The movie would be starting at 7pm so we had enough time to grab a McFlurry on the way there. (Yeah, it was completely my idea) And yea, we used the movie tickets he got us for Valentine's. Well, it's about time. So we got there on time, a little earlier but that was fine because we got our popcorn and drinks. The popcorn was awesome because it had butter AND all the other flavours! :) You might think it's disgusting but Ian & I thought it was perfect :) So anyway, we got there and there weren't really a lot of people - which was kind of a good thing, I suppose? At least there were no noisy people. I love watching the trailers. There weren't that many; probably 4. They also showed a Mickey Mouse episode. It was so old school but it was still quite entertaining. Read our conversation as the show started:
Ian: Omg, I hate Mickey's voice.
Diandra: Haha. I know right, it's so tiny!
Ian: Yea, same with Donald. Can't even understand what he's saying.
Diandra: (kept eating popcorn)
Goofy appears on screen.
Ian: Yeah, then the dumb one gets the normal voice.
Both: lots of giggling

So here's a bit on what the movie's all about:
Meet the Robinsons
When Lewis meets a mysterious boy from the future named Wilbur Robinson, the two travel forward in time where Lewis discovers the amazing secret of the Robinson family. Lewis is a brilliant twelve-year-old with a surprising number of clever inventions to his credit. His latest and most ambitious project is the Memory Scanner, which he hopes will retrieve early memories of his mother and maybe even reveal why she put him up for adoption. But before he can get his answer, his invention is stolen by the dastardly Bowler Hat Guy and his diabolical hat - and constant companion - Doris. Lewis has all but given up hope in his future when a mysterious boy named Wilbur Robinson whisks our bewildered hero away in a time machine and the two travel forward in time to spend a day with Wilbur's eccentric family. In a world filled with flying cars and floating cities, they hunt down Bowler Hat Guy, save the future and uncover the amazing secret of Lewis' future family.

My movie review:
4.5 stars
The movie was awesome! It fulfilled my kid-at-heartness. hee :) The graphics was very well done too. I loved the characters, especially the frog and the cute dino. Haha. It was based on this book called "A Day with Wilbur Robinson". Maybe kids should be reading up on that. That must be a good read too. So I really recommend this movie - especially if you want to keep in touch with your childish side & if you love cartoons! You'd enjoy this movie. It's fun, clever, and heartwarming (you'll know what I mean once you see it) :)
You too should go MEET THE ROBINSONS! :)

Ian loved it as well.
Ian: funny, meaningful (in a way), there's like an "ahhh..." reaction [okayy there Ian]
