Yes, being the basketball fanatic that I am (of course, not as big of fan as Ian) I must have an entry on Raptor's basketball. (Yay, Raptors!!!)
First of all, it was such a big deal that they are the 2006-2007 Atlantic Division Champions. That then lead them to get into the NBA 2007 Playoffs! Woohoo! I cannot believe that after 5 long years...here they are on the first round of the playoffs!
Their current match-up is with the New Jersey Nets (boo, VC!). The first two games were played here in Toronto. How I wish I could've watched (as if!). I didn't exactly watch the first game, unfortunately, and they lost to NJ. (maybe that's why they lost?) haha. The score was 96-91. But I did watch the second game & they won! It was so intense. It was pretty close too because they only beat the Nets by 5 points. Thanks to TJ Ford who scored a lot (I just can't remember how many) in the 4th quarter. The score was 89-83. The third game pretty much was a mission for the Raptors (c'mon what happened to defense? & no more hesitating, CB4!). Oh, if only...Ah well, the final score was 102-89. Horrible. :( I felt really sad, 'cause they just had to win that game..but they didn't. I just wished that the rumours about Kidd not being able to play because of his sore knee was true. Maybe we could've had a chance. I was tres disappointed! :(
Now, we'll just have to wait in see until their game later at 7:30pm ET. All Raptors fans must watch!!! It's too bad that their not playing home court, another advantage for the Nets. We shall see tonight! Bring it on! Go Raptors! Go CB4! Go TJ Ford! Go Anthony Parker! (as I am your #1 fan! too bad I could only watch you on my HDTV) hehe ;)
By the way, congratulations to Toronto Raptors coach, Sam Mitchell for being named this year's Coach of the Year! Wooot!
Check this out. It's from Game 2. Watch Bosh block the ball, and then Parker shoots a 3!
Question, do YOU think Anthony Parker is underrated? Or is that just in the US?

Hehe, just needed a reason to put up pics of A.P :)
