So guess who just turned 20? You got that right! ME! :) Well actually, I'm not sure if that should be a smiley face or a sad face. What are the perks of being 20 anyway? Well, I'm officially not a teen anymore. I guess that's one thing that's good, 'coz then people (who likes stereotyping) won't be judging me without even knowing. Hmm...other than the fact that I feel OLD whenever I say I'm 20 (which by the way, I'm gonna need some getting used to) and the other known fact that although I'm 20, people still think I'm 15, umm other than that, I still feel the same! Nothing has changed, except that with age comes responsibility. Ugh, I hate that. But, ces't la vie!
Anyhow, my birthday celebration was great! It was simple, just dinner and dancing, but it was quite fun! Thanks to all those people who came and partied with me! :) I appreciate it, you guys! :) Thanks for the presents too! I hope you guys enjoyed the food! I've just uploaded the pictures from that night. They weren't much 'coz I was too busy eating and talking to people. A few were taken from my friend's camera, so I'll be asking her for those. Here are some pictures:
The long weekend was way too busy/eventful for me. I attended so many parties with my family. Well, first there was my party on the Friday; and then Saturday afternoon, we went to our family friend's house in Markham to celebrate their children's graduation; after that, in the evening, we went to our other friend's house which is close to our house and we stayed there until after midnight. Last Saturday, Ian and I were supposed to have a lunch date, but due to that, we couldn't go (& because he was busy as well). We did have a dinner date though, on my actual birthday (Sunday) and we ate at my new-found-favorite-restaurant Iron Chef. We had the best dinner ever!!! Food was SO good! I'd go back again, although it was quite pricey, it was definitely worth it! If you're wondering what we had, we had teppanyaki! mmm-yeah! Thanks babe for introducing me to my new favourite restaurant :) Too bad we didn't take pictures there; we were too busy finishing our food :P Babe, we should go back there again next month for our 29th monthsary! :) So basically, that was the highlight of my day on Sunday.
Monday, my family and I decided that we should go to a park and lounge around, but I came up with an idea to take my lola (grandma) to Niagara Falls since she's never been there. 'Coz come on, she's been in Canada for half a year and she's never seen the falls! Like, come'on....So we drove down south to Niagara Falls, which took us more than an hour because of traffic (grr). So we get there, and there were tons of people! Parking spots were packed and it took us around 15-20 mins to find one! Well, what do you expect right? It's Canada day weekend, of course people will travel. So we finally got a parking spot at some hotel nearby, walked to the falls, took some photos, then we went to eat at Rainforest Cafe; it was good because we were all hungry! We left Niagara Falls after that, and headed back to Mississauga. For some reason, we were all craving for some Dairy Queen, and so we dropped by the mall to get some ice cream...and then we ended up walking around the mall for a good 2 hours. What a random day that was! But I loved the sponteneity! That night Ian came over and we watch several episodes of FRIENDS dvd. Let me tell you, FRIENDS is the wittiest, funniest, most engaging show you will ever see!!! Well, that's my opinion anyway. :) I love Friends! :) Oh! before Ian came over, two of my friends dropped by for a little bit to give me their gift...it was a Wii Fit!!! I love it!!! I've been using it since then (for 2 days) and I'm so into it right now! If you own a Wii console, having the Fit is a must!!! So, go get it! :) Thanks guys! I love your present! Oh, and I can't believe I haven't mentioned Ian's present for me...you will never guess it...'coz it's...a...pet...turtle! Well, turtles because there are 2 of them. I love them, they're so cute. I have pictures of them too! :) So Monday was a long, random day. But it was fun!
Tuesday, yesterday, was Canada day, so Happy birthday Canada! It was my resting day, so I just stayed home and played Wii Fit all day! :) Who could've thought that exercising could be fun! Hehe.
So that was my ever-so-eventful long weekend. And sorry for the extremely long post. Too many events happened! :) By the way, I haven't started my in-car lessons yet, but I'll probably start soon because the instructor dude called me today. Weee...I'm excited and nervous at the same time! You think I'll be a good driver? I think I'll be a good driver...;)
Anyways, that's it folks. Come back regularly and don't forget to comment/tag! Ciao!
