So I'm back from the tiring but fun roadtrip weekend!
Last week, my parents decided to go on a trip since my dad has a week off from work. I seriously didn't know until 2 days before the actual trip! Hello! Plan much? Anyway, I had 2 appointments (driving lesson & ortho) the day we had to leave and i had to cancel those, and luckily I got to re-schedule an appointment for my ortho right away and got that done. Bad news: my braces are still on; good news: I'm getting 'em off for sure on my next visit. yeayea!:)
So anyhow, we left last Thursday, the 10th of July. It was a 6-ish-hour drive from our place to downtown Montreal. It was a*s-numbing. Haha But we got there at around 4:30pm. We checked-in right away to our hotel, rested for a bit, and started walking around. Man, we did some intense walking that day! It was fun though (I think?) Haha. But all I remember was getting lost when we were on our way back to our hotel. I swear we walked 3 km just getting lost! Oh well, no complaining now.
We spent 2 days in Montreal (Thursday and Friday). On Friday, w;e took the car to go to places like the Biodome, Botanical Gardens, and St. Joseph's Oratory. At around 4:30pm, Ian contacted me, letting me know that he's almost arriving. We finish touring the place and we met with him before going to the Oratory. I was so super excited to see him. Lucky he works in Ottawa, not too far from Montreal :) So happy that he actually got to go :) We've both been to Montreal before (last August) and went to almost the same places too, so we didn't need much touring there.
On the 3rd day of our roadtrip, we drove 2.5 hours to Quebec City where the party is at! :P It's Quebec's 400th birthday, so there are celebrations happening around there. Quebec City is awesome! You don't have to journey all the way to Europe to have a feel of a European city. Quebec has it! I got pictures to show! :) Too bad we only stayed in Quebec City for a day. The day was well spent though :)
Sunday morning, we had to check-out from the hotel. It was raining that day. We were so lucky that it didn't rain 3 days before when we were touring around Montreal and Quebec City. On that last day, we still had the chance to go to Montmorency falls. We just dropped by and took some pictures in the rain :)
Well, that's my roadtrip weekend at a glance. 'Coz I can't remember every single detail, and I'm sure it's just gonna bore you to death. :P But I have nice photos for you to check out. :)
...will post the pictures asap! It's just that I'm not typing from my laptop, so I don't have the pictures here. :)
ttfn!
