In contrast to the movie Sweet November...well, November ain't so sweet now. Not here in Toronto anyway. My hands are still freezing and it's going to be freezing for at least another 4 months. Bummer. I wish I could use a pair of gloves while typing this entry. Hmm...
Summer was sweet, but not as sweet as it used to be. Now the dreaded winter is coming & I'm pretty sure the weather's gonna be cruel and brutal. I just hope I don't turn into an icicle while I'm walking outside. Brr...
Do you want to know why winter season is such a hassle? I've got reasons...

Do you want to know why winter season is such a hassle? I've got reasons...
- Yes, having a White Christmas is pretty and romantic and all that, BUT...when you go to parties, for example, or just attending lectures at the university, do you have any idea, how many layers you have to wear/take off? On average, I wear around 5. Hah!
- Well, as everyone who knows me would know, I'm not very much a morning person, therefore it would take a whole barangay to wake me up in the morning. The cold feeling in the morning really does not help at all. I mean, who would want to get out under those nice warm comfy blanky? No one! Well, unless you adore cold, cold mornings.
- This one doesn't really apply to me, it applies more the my dad and all the other dads out here. Getting out of bed is already such a struggle, right? Add on the dreadful feeling when you take a glimpse out of your bedroom window, only seeing the gloominess outside and all the pile of snow you must shovel before you can actually drive away to your destination.
- Having mentioned all these, getting out of bed and having to shovel...well, it only means you have to wake up extra early just to do those extra things. "Chores" that you didn't use to do prior to winter season. Well, isn't that nice? More work for you!
- For the people who drive to and from school/work: Major accidents & traffic. I think that speaks for itself.
- For someone like me, who always has to walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus for 5 minutes, travel to the next bus stop, wait for the bus for half an hour, get on the bus, travel really slowly for about 20 minutes, arrive at school, walk really slow and carefully for 5 minutes, start to undress (ok, maybe not undress, just take some layers off) because inside the building is really warm because of the heating system........ok I should just stop now. I know y'all understand.
- People slippin' and slidin' and fallin' and trippin'. Hahaha...This one's kinda funny, although it shouldn't be. I think..?
- Randomly getting hit by a snowball, while walking past by children playing "snowball fight". Ok, this actually has not yet happened to me & I'm hoping that it will never occur as long as I live here. I've seen people play...it looks painful! Like paintball but the snow will just melt away.
- It gets dark really early. Like 4 or 5 pm early. It's really creepy when you have to walk home from school/work and it's that dark already. Sometimes I think it's time for bed because it's so pitch black outside, when it's only 7pm.
- Hmm, what else, what else. Well, I can't think of one anymore. I guess I'm stopping at 9. Here I am venting about winter again, when it hasn't come yet. Wait 'til it's actually here!
...at approximately the same time of day.
Anyway, all these is really making me hungry...so, I'm out! :)
